Scenes from a weekend

Our weekend was lazy and not much was accomplished. I went to church and took a major nap today, and after supper, I went to the grocery. When I got out of the grocery (and it was late), this is what I saw.

Gorgeous.

Sophie was lounging around outside today, sunning herself.

Then we saw that she was looking at a critter on the far side of DH's little pond.  See if you spy it.

It's a seriously large bullfrog!  Isn't he handsome?

Zelda, Curly's kitten, spent a lot of time in with us this weekend, as it was very hot.  We wore her out.  Isn't she cute?  She is BAD.  She spent a lot of time on me, curled up under my chin.  Or else she was jumping at my feet.

And here's a funny - DH works for an animal control company, and they got these funny bobble headed pins for promo items.  It's a bobble headed beaver!

DH and I have differing political views, which makes for interesting times in political seasons.  A few years ago he ran for state office - he lost of course, as his is not one of the two major parties.  Now he is running again, for another major post, state Commissioner of something.  I'm trying to pretend it's not happening and stay out of it.  So far I haven't had to go to any events, and my name is far away from this.  (Sometimes having different last names can be a real plus.) DH went to a couple of political things on Saturday, and a big article on him was in the local paper today.  I just hope we can get through this without much strife.

Hope your week is good....
