Like Jane and Georgia. They are the best tatters - and so much fun to be around.
And Marilee and Sue Anna. They brought some of Marilee's lovely HDT to share.
Here's cute Livi and her mama Jess. Jess had yummy thread to sell!
Isdihara (AKA the best roommate EVER) and Anita. They're in the same VA lace guild.
Nancy and GR-8 brother Randy. Da Udder Brudder was recovering from an accident - we missed you Gary!
Krystal Dawne's mama Karrieann, working on an angel in my class.
Arlene, showing off the bracelet she made in my class. Isn't it cute? Arlene is the nicest person.
Spouses David and Sharren were there. Sharron is a hoot, and David is a dear. He's her tatting sherpa!
President Donna at the podium, with new president Teresa on the right. This was at our banquet. These are NOT stuffy people. There was MUCH laughter at the banquet.
Here are folks going to the banquet - Isdihara, the lovely HJ Hess, some unknown lame tatter, and Susan Fuller (who wrote Heart's Desire!)
More folks at the banquet - Hannah Lindhom (of Sweden), Linda Adair (Gina Brummett's sister), Sally and Riet. Hannah's sister Sara Bergman's dark head is in the foreground, next to Laurie Simmons, Gina's daughter.
Hannah provided entertainment for us at the banquet! She was quite good.
Folks gathered to have fun afterwards. Front - Isdihara, Jane and Sally. Back - Karey, some old fool, HJ Hess, and Sue Anna. Don't worry - we were toasting with grape juice. Ms. Hess's TBH took the picture.
It was TONS of fun. For those who haven't ever been to Palmetto Tat Days, you should at least try and go some day. It's worth it!
Lily (who Larry calls 'weapons-class adorable') didn't care about tatting. She was home sacked out.
Looks as though you had fun. Thanks for the photos, nice to put faces to names!
ReplyDeleteLove all the FAB photos!!! But why am I in so many of them? (Because I am such a HAM, that's why!) ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great photo of David and Sharren. The sister Swedes couldn't have been more magnetic and the sister Brits couldn't have been more captivating. (Golly, I hope they both can come back next year.)
Gina Brummet's sister and daughter were a treat too! Wow, just wow.
Love Nancy showing off her glittery tattoo with Randy Houtz!
I could go on and on, but then there would be no room for your other comments. No more comment-hogging, IsDihara!
Thanks again for sharing this great post. Seeing all the happy faces reminds me why I love tatters.
That's a lot of smiling faces!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your pictures of the tatters. It's really nice to put a face to the name. Wow, you've had a blast! Wish I can go Tat Days some time. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all your nice pictures and videos. Looks like fun.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are fun and oh how they whet the appetite to be there.
ReplyDelete"unknown lame tatter" "old fool" what is this, stand up Crazy Mom and take a bow, you deserve to be acknowledged too.
Thanks so much for the photos! Wanted to be there but couldn't make it and was very disappointed. It looks so well organized and lots of fun. So glad to see Gina's sister and daughter there. I almost feel that I know the family, and I still visit Gina's blog for her blog roll. And what an opportunity to see Jane and Sally!
ReplyDeleteI think I mentioned before that it was wonderful to see the Ustream video live! It was like being able to peek in the door, in real time!
Thank you for a great post and all of the pictures! I am jealous of anyone who gets to go to Tat Days.... but I mean that in a good way.
ReplyDeleteThank you for putting faces to some of the people I've meet online.
So nice to learn Gina's sister and daughter were there.
What a fun time! I'm so sorry to have had to miss it but I'm hoping for next year : ) Thank you for sharing all the photos ... I really enjoyed them!
