Caribbean edging done

I finished up my quick and dirty spit ring edging and sewed it on my lavender V-neck shirt. It's tatted in Lizbeth Caribbean size 20. I think it looks pretty cute, don't you? I'm wearing it to Palmetto Tat Days.

If you want to make something like this, here's the pattern - and it's soooo easy.

Easy Split Ring Edging

2 shuttles wound CTM
First clover:

  • R using S1 - 3-3-3-3
  • R using S1 - 3+(to last picot of prior ring)3-2-2-3-3
  • SR - 3+(to last picot of prior ring)3 /3-3
Repeating clover
  • SR - 3-3/3-3
  • R using S1 - 3+(to S1 picot of prior ring)3-2-2-3-3
  • SR - 3+(to last picot of prior ring)3 /3-3

Repeat as often as necessary
Central medallion

  • SR - 3-3/3-3
  • R using S1 - 3+(to S1 picot of prior ring)3-2-2-3-3
  • R using S1 - 3+(to last picot of prior ring)3-2-2-2-2-3-3
  • R using S1 - 3+(to last picot of prior ring)3-2-2-3-3
  • SR - 3+(to last picot of prior ring)3 /3-3

Tat repeating clovers until you are one clover short of length desired
Last clover

  • SR - 3-3/3-3
  • R using S1 - 3+(to S1 picot of prior ring)3-2-2-3-3
  • R using S1 - 3+(to last picot of prior ring)3+(to middle picot of first ring of first clover)3-3

Tie off and hide ends.

Enjoy!
