Failure in tatting

I've been trying a tatting experiment.  And it ain't working.

Dimpled split rings.  I am not real successful.  They are really fiddly.  I will try again.

This morning I drove in, yawning, staring into the sun.  It takes me a while to get used to Daylight Savings Time.

I was successful at the frittata.  It was yummy. DH and most of the Stooges gobbled it.  Bubba came over and gobbled it.

We are still kinda sick.  Moe is going to the pediatrician today, taken by DH.  (It's almost always me taking kids, but I've been out of work so much lately, so I twisted his arm.  Hard.)  I'm stuffy, choking and gagging at night.  Curly and DH seem better.

I enroll Curly in night school tomorrrow. I hope that goes smoothly.  He'd better take advantage of this - it's his last shot at free education.

And here's some Spring porn, from a nearby neighborhood.  Pretty.

  3. You get superlative marks for the dimpled split rings you made! Goodness, my brain hurts just thinking about it.

If Curly doesn't go for free education, can I be adopted? (*grins*)

    Hope you feel better soon!

  6. You'll get there! I wonder if you tried dimpled SSSR's! I don't know if it would work or not, but SSSR's are SOOOOO MUCH EASIER than regular SR's! OMGosh! I am kicking myself for not learning them earlier. Sometimes you gotta have the SR for certain patterns depending on what elements are joining to the SR and vice versa.
I haven't given the SSSR dimpled ring thing much thought, but I am just speaking on a whim....and it's really late at night!

ANyway, you'll figure out your quest and it will look lovely when you are done!
