Progress on hairpin lace

The Kitty blankie made from hairpin lace is coming along.

I'm getting better.

And I've joined some strips.  I like it.  And it's soft.....

Nice kitty.

Curly appears to have contracted the flu.  He seems quite miserable.  But his Facebook status is "I ♥ my mom for bailing me out of jail".

Someone emailed me and asked if instead of fricasseed Curly, perhaps I could eat Curly fries.

Hee!  Made me snort....

  1. You are so good at this lace making, and so quickly!!! I am totally impressed. It does look soft.
Poor Curly. I hope the flu bug doesn't hit him too hard, and that the rest of you don't get it from him.
He has a sweet heart to post that on fb! Curly Fries! That is a good one.

  2. What are you making? DId I miss that somehow?
I was sent some Hairpin lace looms from a friend in Chile. I've yet to use them. THey're smaller for the crochet cotton so you can do the tatting and hairpin lace combinations. I want to learn how.

  4. WOW! This looks great! See, it didn't take much time at all to get the hang of it. I love the look of this technique. And the yarn you picked is lovely! I'm guessing you'll probably be done before me... I can take these projects and drag them out months! Have fun.
