Failing at knitting

I was knitting on my little cap for the elementary school, when I looked down and realized that I was knitting a Möbius strip cap. There was a twist in the middle.

Um, I don't think this will work. It will never be a cap. Not in this world.  Maybe some alternate universe, but not here.

So I ripped it all out and started over.

Ain't life grand?

  1. I got to give you credit for trying. I stay in my safe tatting corner afraid to venture out to other fiberarts. *clapping*

  2. Once again, Honey...you are a laugh-riot.

This happened to me once, but I didn't have the presence of mind to crown it the "Mobius Strip". Not only are you wonderful in creating with your hands: you are delightful in your language!

Lovely you, for making this little item to help a little one in need realize how special s/he is! God Bless you! It's ALL in the sweet and loving little things we do!

  3. If you haven't read any of Elizabeth Zimmerman's knitting books (I think there are 4), see if the library has them - in one of them there is a Mobius Strip scarf! I knitted one a long time ago - really a neat idea -
